Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has warned all regarding miscreants who are circulating old notices to confuse students. As per the board, notices that CBSE would be conducting exams only for 29 main subjects from April 2020 are being circulated on social media and WhatsApp. All may please be warned that CBSE Board Examinations 2021 for Classes 10 and 12 are scheduled to begin from May 4, with no changes and as planned.
Sharing screenshot of old messages by the board, snapshot of the April 1 circular and tweets of Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the board writes that ‘There are some persons deliberately trying to create confusion about board exams by circulating old news of 1.4.20 regarding X and XII exams . Students should ignore this old circular of last year and not be misled.’
Parents and students are advised not to believe rumours and notices that are circulated on WhatsApp. All official notices are posted on the board’s official website cbse.gov.in. Schools are also sent individual copies of the notices to inform them of the changes.
At present, the schools affiliated to the board are conducting Class 12 practical examinations. While there is speculation regarding possible changes amid second wave of COVID19 in the country, the board has not shown any inclination. Officials have further confirmed that the board examinations would be conducted. All are again advised to strictly follow the official website and trusted news channels for information regarding the examinations.
